Dr. Taha Merghoub, Ph.D.
Dr. Merghoub is a faculty (Associate Attending Lab Member) in the Melanoma and Immunotherapeutics Service in the Department of Medicine at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York, USA. .Dr. Merghoub is a geneticist who has gained and developed expertise in tumor immunology. Dr. Merghoub co-directs the Ludwig collaborative laboratory at MSKCC and is the lead of the tissue repository for the melanoma disease management team at MSKCC. His research focuses on the interplay between tumors and the immune system in the early stages of melanomagenesis and the development of novel immunotherapeutic treatment strategies for the treatment of melanoma as a model system. Dr. Merghoub’s research also involves investigating the therapeutic efficacy of new immunotherapy strategies in combination with conventional cancer therapies and novel targeted pathway inhibitors such as Braf inhibitors. This work is collaborative involving joint projects with Drs. Merghoub, Jedd Wolchok, and Neal Rosen, all leaders in the immunology and targeted therapy fields. Dr. Merghoub co-authored over 70 publications in his field and is an active member of multiple scientific organizations.
